She has just moved her practice here from Ontario and we are please to have someone with her abilities so close at hand. She will most certainly be an excellent addition to the North Shore community. Lake View Heights First Reading Approved

On May 25^th 2010 Hynes Development’s, (Mark Sager, Steven Hynes) West Kelowna project – Lakeview Heights reached a new check point in its venture to rezoning with the unanimous first reading approval by the West Kelowna Council members. After 3 years of hosting public information meeting and having lengthy discussions with numerous residents from the Lakeview Heights community, the “Lakeview Heights” project is exactly what the community wants. In a recent news paper article the Mayor of West Kelowna, Mayor Doug Findlater, indicated how rare it was for so many people to be in support of such a large project. May 25^th council meeting proved this to be true when a fair number of the community came out to support the projects first reading. A date for second reading has not yet been set but predictions say sometime in the fall of 2010.

Mayor’s Golf Tournament

Three years ago a great group of community minded citizens, will the support of our three North Shore Mayors, iniciated the Mayor’s Golf Tournament. This annual fundraising event has become a popular funfilled community event. Bringing together the three north shore communities to support a variety of charities. Mark Sager of Sager LLP has been asked and has accepted the role as Chair for this year. In 2009 the proceeds went to assist youth programs, meal programs for the homeless and a seniors programs. Our New Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia

On Friday October 30th, 2009 The Honourable Chief Justice R. J. Bauman was formally introduced to the public. There can be no doubt that he has the univeral respect of those of us in the legal profession. He is a person of high intellect, with a caring personality and always balanced with a wonderful sense of humour. Our Province will be very well served!

Seylynn Village Receives Final Approval

Monday October 19th, 2009 was a historic evening in the District of North Vancouver with the passage of the bylaws approving the Seylynn Village. Mayor Richard Walton and Council unanimously approved re-vitalization of the lower lynn area which received warm spontaneous applause from the many residence who attended to watch the vote. As part of the team assembled by Steve Hynes to help shepard this project through the community process it was a most rewarding evening.
